Procedure of disposal of work at Department level

            The final decision on any matter is taken on the recommendation/approval of Secretary/ Principal Secretary after the approval of Hon'ble Minister.  Each letter received by the Government whether directly sent by concerned staff/officer of any agriculture university or any general public goes through Principal Secretary/Secretary/Special Secretary/Deputy Secretary/Under Secretary/Section Officer to concerned Review Officer for comments.  The concerned Review Officer puts forward his comments to Section Officer. Section Officer sends this comment to Special Secretary through Under Secretary/Deputy Secretary.  The Secretary/Principal Secretary is responsible for taking final decisions on routine matters.  Final decision on larger or policy related issues is taken after the approval of Hon'ble Chief Minister through Hon'ble Minister of the Department.  Each letter received by the Government is kept in the record by the Record Keeper.

Procedure of disposal of work in Agriculture Universities

            Vice-chancellor is the Head of Institution in each state agriculture university.  The Vice-chancellors are responsible for internal administration of concerned university by following the rules and regulations.  The Finance Department of Government appoints the Comptroller in the university.  The Comptrollers of agriculture universities are officers from Uttar Pradesh Finance and Accounts Services.  The main responsibility of the comptroller of agriculture universities is to utilize the grant received from government as per the government rules and regulations.

Uttar Pradesh Council of Agricultural Research (UPCAR) was established in 1989 as Registered Society under the Society Registration Act-1860 to coordinate research, education and extension activities of the State Agricultural Universities (SAUs), Government Departments and other institutions engaged in the fields of agriculture, horticulture, animal sciences, fisheries, sericulture, environment, natural resource management and allied disciplines.  U.P. Council of Agricultural Research is an autonomous apex state organization which plans, coordinates and promotes research, education, training and transfer of technology for advancement of agriculture and allied sciences.  It is governed by its Memorandum of Association.  Director General is the Head of Uttar Pradesh Council of Agricultural Research and Secretary, U.P. Council of Agricultural Research is responsible for routine administration of the council.

Admission Procedure in State Agriculture Universities

            The Joint Entrance Test for admission in different curriculum in 03 state agriculture universities by rotation was started from the year 2005 by adding a Para-26-ka in Uttar Pradesh Krishi evem Prodyogik Vishvavidyalaya Adhiniyam, 1958.  The students are admitted through counseling based on the results prepared on the basis of joint entrance test.
